CLAY AIKEN 3 women on own trip to 5 of singer's shows

They're following the singer around the country in their 'Claymobile.'
YOUNGSTOWN -- Three Clay Aiken fans, seeing the photo on the front page of The Vindicator, stopped by the newpaper's downtown office to buy 46 copies of Monday's edition to share with other members of the Aiken Breakin Broads.
The paper features photos and a review of the singer's Sunday show at the Chevrolet Centre.
The women, Jan Dixon of Sugarland, Texas; Kel Duplessis of Sebring, Fla.; and Linda LaPorte of Grayson, Ky., are on their own self-styled road trip to five of Aiken's "Joyful Noise 2005" tour stops.
The women met online at the Aiken Breakin Broads Web site on yahoo.com and became friends. They met for Aiken's Friday show in Louisville, Ky., then packed up LaPorte's "Claymobile," and headed to Cincinnati for the Saturday show then on to Youngstown the next day.
On the road again
They're driving to Pittsburgh for today's show where they have arranged a "meet and greet" with the singer. Turning the tables on the reviewer, the women got the autograph of Vindicator reviewer Linda Linonis. They plan to give Aiken a copy of that Vindicator at the Pittsburgh show. They also left Youngstown with another memento -- orange and white Vindicator plastic bags with Vindy pens and magnets.
They'll conclude their tour Wednesday in Reading, Pa., where they plan a birthday salute to Aiken, who will be 27. The women also got together for Aiken's previous Jukebox Tour.
Duplessis said they like the singer because he's "family oriented." LaPorte and Dixon also said they admire Aiken for his humanitarian work with UNICEF and Toys for Tots.
