Missing woman

MISSING WOMAN
Joanna Jenkins
Cold trail: Joanna Jenkins disappeared in 1977 at the age of 23. Her mother says she had taken up with a group who drank and used drugs. Jenkins vanished after she and the man she was living with were arrested for robbery.
New break: Private investigator Bill Reese says he recently interviewed a witness who pointed him toward a potential suspect and told him where Jenkins' body may have been dropped.
Back burner: Jackson County sheriff's officials say they are fighting budget cuts, thin resources and rising crime in southeast Ohio. They can only occasionally work on the Jenkins case, and so far they haven't found witnesses willing to talk.
