Westminster assistant professor to perform holiday organ concert



NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- Dr. Elizabeth Harrison, assistant professor of music and college organist at Westminster College, will give an Advent and Christmas organ concert at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Wallace Memorial Chapel.
Her program includes: Dietrich Buxtehude's Magnificat Primi Toni; Johann Sebastian Bach's Prelude and Fugue in C Major, BWV 545; Pastorale in F Major, BWV 590; Nun komm' der heiden Heiland, BWV 659; Wachet auf, ruf' uns die Stimme, BWV 645; Marcel Dupr & eacute;'s Improvisation on Adeste Fidelis; Alexandre Guilmant's Offertoire (No. 3) sur le No & euml;l: Joseph est bien mari & eacute;; Offertoire No & euml;l & Egrave;cossais.
"It's going to be a really fun concert with some familiar tunes and great organ sounds," Harrison said.
Harrison, who has been with Westminster College since 2000, earned her undergraduate degree from Duke University, her master's degree from Southern College and New England Conservatory and her D.M.A. from Stanford University.
