Man charged with voyeurism, wiretapping

CANAL FULTON, Ohio (AP) -- Police accused a man of secretly videotaping his neighbors taking showers and having sex.
A search of Michael Jacobs' home turned up 32 tapes depicting nude images of the unsuspecting couple, authorities said.
Jacobs, 39, was arrested Wednesday on two misdemeanor counts of voyeurism and single counts of felony burglary and wiretapping. He also faces misdemeanor charges of possession of criminal tools, having drug paraphernalia and drug abuse.
Municipal Court records show two wireless video cameras were set up in the victims' basement and aimed at the shower. A microphone was in the kitchen.
The devices were discovered by one of the two victims, a 23-year-old woman.
Jacobs, who was released on bond, is due back in court Dec. 2 for a preliminary hearing on the two felony charges. He pleaded innocent to all five misdemeanors.
