Who's back: Senior Andrea Gladis; junior Kari Haywood; sophomores Morgan Bonekovic and Lauren Gentile.
Who's new: Senior Shanice Webb; sophomores Kelly Jones and Marissa Brennan; freshman Rachel Gentile.
Outlook: The young Warriors will count on speed and size to be successful and hope to build depth during the season.
CHAMPION
Coach: Jeff Thompson (7th season, 71-59).
2004-05 record: 16-7, 10-4 TAC.
Who's gone: Jessica Wood, Heather Pegg, Stefanie Hofmeister, Nicole Okerlund.
Who's back: Jaclyn Carpenter (5-6, Sr.).; Hillary Beachy (5-8, Sr.); Elizabeth Ghindia (5-11, Jr.); Ashley Haas (5-10, Soph.); Brittany Skeels (5-6, Soph.).
Who's new: Jenna Headrick (5-5, Soph.); Carly Fee (5-6, Soph.); Elisa Gilronan (5-6, Soph.); Amber Ackerman (5-8, Soph.); Erika Stevens (5-5, Fr.); Heather Beachy (5-7, Fr.).
Outlook: Inexperience could be offset by team speed and the shooting ability of the Golden Flashes.
GIRARD
Coach: Andrew Saxon (24th season, 265-166).
2004-05 record: 22-1.
Who's gone: Cachet Murray (school's all-time leading scorer; Trumbull County Player of the Year; first-team all-Ohio).
Who's back: Seniors Brittany Palmer, Jenna Ruiz and Sarroya Townsend.
Who's new: Janie Brown, Lauren Cheic.
Outlook: The Indians lack size and experience and will need to rely on speed and quickness for success.
HUBBARD
Coach: Jerry Beltempo (1st season, 74-25 in varsity career).
2004-05 record: 7-14
Who's back: Tressa Scahill (5-5, Jr., G); Sheila Drummond (5-9, Sr., F); Maggie Bogdan (5-11, Jr., C).
Who's new: Corrie Gasser (5-5, Sr., G); Kodi Brenner (5-4, Fr.); Brittany Bullock (5-7, Fr.); Abby Deluco (5-5, Soph.); Kylee Sharisky (5-9, Soph.)
Outook: The Eagles will be counting on their outside shooting and quickness, but will work on rebounding and a new system to try an improve on last year's finish.
LABRAE
Coach: John Wolford (4th season, 11-51)
2004-05 record: 7-14, 2-1 TAC.
Who's gone: Laura Bate (second team All-TAC); Anita Simmons, Lindsay Blazsek, Kristin Schackelford.
Who's back: Seniors Maddie D'Orio and Morgan Briscoe; junior Jalisa Elkins; sophomore Angelica Pugh.
Who's new: Juniors Peggy Nichols, Lindsay Higgins and Stepfanie Higgins; sophomore Amanda Witherow; freshmen Bayle Boggs and Emily Potter.
Outlook: The key is to stay healthy. Although the squad isn't tall, it will try to make up for that with physical strength, being athletic, cutting down on turnovers and shooting the ball better.
LAKEVIEW
Coach: Courtney Collins (2nd season).
2004-05 record: 14-7.
Who's gone: Britni Morello, Christina Martin.
Who's back: Lauren McCumber (6-0, Sr.); Lindsay Whetzel (5-8, Sr.); Jennifer Baker (5-3, Jr.); Chelsea Butler (5-8, Jr.); Amy Downs (5-9, Jr.); Alynn Martin (5-10, Jr.).
Who's new: Joanna Novotny (5-9, Soph.); Jackie Trina (5-5, Soph.).
Outlook: The experienced Bulldogs have good size and are among the favorites to win the league this season.
LIBERTY
Coach: John Hritz (4th season, 361-229).
2004-05 record: 6-14.
Who's gone: Alana Williams, Darnelle Clark.
Who's back: Ashley White (5-6, Sr., G); Michelle Dykes (5-7, Jr., G); Katarina Neskovich (6-0, Jr., C); Kathie Greaf (5-6, Soph., G); Brianna Pettway (5-6, Soph., G).
Who's new: Ashley Hackett (5-5, Soph., G); Chakieyla Merriweather (5-8, Fr., F); Melissa Dykes (5-6, Fr., G).
Outlook: White was a first team all-TAC and all-county selection and Dykes was a second team all-TAC selection. The Leopards plan to use quickness, speed and pressure defense to offset their lack of size. Shooting is suspect.
NEWTON FALLS
Coach: Mark Baker (1st year).
2004-05 record: 4-17, 1-13 TAC.
Who's gone: Jackie Clonch, Molly Lenarcic, Lindsay Calland.
Who's back: Seniors Lindsay Davis, Kelsey Werner, Casee Piquet and Kortni Collins; junior Emily Montgomery.
Who's new: Jackie Dach, Jessica Connell, Danielle Clonch.
Outlook: The Tigers hope to improve on last year's record with speed, but must improve their rebounding and cut down on turnovers.
