Who's new: Kate Hagerty (5-5, Sr.); Steph Nadum (5-5, Sr.).
Outlook: Popovec, last year's MAC player of the year, and Halfill, a first-team all-league selection, headline a young, talented Cardinal team. Pavlansky was an honorable mention all-league selection last season.
HOWLAND
Coach: John Diehl (12th season, 240-200).
2004-05 record: 15-6, 6-4.
Who's gone: Carolyn Hanshaw (15.6 points per game); Ana Cvengros.
Who's back: Danielle Ryan (Sr.); Carly Sabat (Jr.); Melissa Airhart (Jr.); Ellie Shields (Jr.); Alexa Williams (Soph.); Allie Airhart (Soph.)
Who's new: Whitney Zenner (Sr.); Amanda Bock (Soph.).
Outlook: The Tigers have good speed and height but must overcome a lack of varsity experience if they want to contend for a league title.
NILES
Coach: Eric Marino (first season)
2004-05 record: 3-18.
Who's back: Seniors Tyler Fridley, Ashley Ellwood, Kelly Leonard, Jessica Pallante and Stephanie Parish.
Who's new: Amanda Binion (Soph.); Aly DeChristefero (Jr.); Karla Durig (Jr.).
Outlook: All five starters return for the Red Dragons as they try to improve on last year's record.
POLAND
Coach: Jamie Dunn (10th season)
2004-05 record: 8-13.
Who's gone: Dee Muransky, Erin Hawkins, Alex Rokicki
Who's back: Jessica Toth (Sr., G); Kalle Davis (Jr., G); Kasey Eckman, (Jr., G); Ashley Tadla (Jr., G); Michelle Benson (Soph., G).
Who's new: Juniors Ashley Shuluga, Caitlin Dorbich and Jessica Porcase; sophomores Theresann DiMartino and Julie Bereno, so; freshman Melissa Haug.
Outlook: The Bulldogs will have their smallest team in years and must embrace the concept of playing hard and competing on every possession.
SALEM
Coach: Steve Stewart (6th season, 92-28).
2004-05 record: 22-2.
Who's gone: Sarah Hamilton (first team all-MAC; 12.5 ppg.; 5.6 rpg); Katherine McGarry (first team all-MAC; 11.7 ppg); Jessica Hamilton; Jessica Potts.
Who's back: Sarah Ravelli (5-8, Sr., C): Laci Meals (5-3, Sr., G); Leah Perry (5-10, Jr., PG); Kelley Roelen (5-7, Soph., G).
Who's new: Amanda Thorne (5-9, Sr., C); Charity Montford (5-7, Sr., G); Zahra Scullion (5-8, Jr., G/F); Natalie Davidson (5-9, Jr., G): Kasey Wolfgang (5-6, Soph., G).
Outlook: Although the Quakers lost five seniors to graduation, they still return experienced players as they attempt to make another run at the league title.
STRUTHERS
Coach: John Grandy (3rd season, 12-32).
2004-05 record: 7-16.
Who's gone: Cole Robenolt (honorable mention all-MAC); Nicki McGuire, Ashley Rouzzo, Amanda Ardale.
Who's back: Liz Valerio (5-8, Jr., F); Ashley Galbraith (5-9, Soph., F); Halle Minchin-Skook (5-6, Soph., G); Amanda Rouzzo (5-6, Jr., G); Terra Stocker (5-3, Sr., G); Brianne Ciccone (5-8, Sr., F); Terri George (5-7, Sr., G).
Who's new: Ang Melchionne (5-2, sr., G); Dominique Martino (5-4, Fr., G); Priscilla Pipe (5-5, Fr., G); Danielle Hobbs (5-7, Fr., F).
Outlook: Although inexperienced, the Wildcats will count on speed and quickness for a successful season. Valerio was a second team all-MAC selection last season.
