Fatal apartment fire was likely accidental

HAMILTON, Ohio (AP) -- A fire that killed four children in a third-floor apartment likely was accidental, fire officials said Saturday.
The exact cause of the fire early Friday still isn't known, but officials are piecing together details from interviews with witnesses, particularly two men who helped others from the building.
The three youngest children died of carbon monoxide poisoning, Butler County Coroner Richard Burkhardt said Saturday.
The eldest child, Marquin'da, died from smoke inhalation. She would have turned 10 Monday, and the family was planning to celebrate her birthday with a roller-skating party this weekend, said the girl's aunt, Abralem Curtis.
