TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Freshman Richard Hendrix scored 22 points and had 14 rebounds to lead Alabama. The Crimson Tide (2-1) raced to a 59-24 halftime lead behind 21-of-33 shooting and Jermareo Davidson's 15 points, and had six players score in double figures.
No. 25 Iowa St. 101, Mountain St. 82
AMES, Iowa -- Curtis Stinson scored a career-high 35 points for Iowa State. Stinson hit 15 of 24 shots and had seven assists for the Cyclones, who surpassed 100 points for the first time since Jan. 31, 2001, when they lost to Missouri 112-109 in four overtimes.
No. 17 Illinois 71, Texas-Pan Am. 59
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- Dee Brown scored 20 points and Illinois bounced back from a poor-shooting first half.
