ROGERS -- Beaver Local schools were to reopen today after being closed Wednesday because of vandalism to school buses.
The Columbiana County Sheriff's Office and school officials said 17 buses were damaged at the district's bus garage in Madison Township.
Vandals cut tires, damaged the wiring, removed radiator caps, cut valve stems and bent windshield wipers. The district has 31 buses, but some drivers take them home at night.
The vehicles were repaired and inspected by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. School officials did not have dollar amount of the damage done.
