Babyak pitches, hits Mooney to 12-3 victory against Liberty

Canfield needed nine innings to defeat Alliance, 7-5.
STRUTHERS -- Dan Babyak pitched a three-hitter and also had two hits and drove in three runs as Cardinal Mooney stopped Liberty 12-3 in a regular season baseball game at Cene Park.
One of Babyak's hits was a triple, while Shane Gallagher also had two doubles and drove in two runs for the Cardinals (17-3).
Shawn Lininger had a double for Liberty (6-15).
Campbell 13, Chaney 2
YOUNGSTOWN -- Frasier Trikios had three hits to lead Campbell.
Antoni Zembillas, Ryan Burton, Nick Durkin and Jim Bigley each added two hits for the Red Devils (11-9).
Tom Eynhart had a double and a triple for Chaney.
Canfield 7, Alliance 5
ALLIANCE -- Matt Guerrieri singled home the winning run in the top of the ninth inning against Alliance in a Metro Athletic Conference game.
Canfield (18-6, 11-0) blew a 5-1 lead in the bottom of the seventh, surrendering four runs to the Avaitors.
In the ninth Josh McKinney walked to lead off the inning, was sacrificed to second by T.J. Morrison and scored on Guerrieri's single. Brett Gradman drove in Guerrieri with the second run.
Matt Guerrieri, Zach Guerrieri and Joe Rosko all had two hits for the Cardinals. Tyler Pearce picked up the victory.
Struthers 9, Salem 5
STRUTHERS -- Jimmy Kriebel hit a two-run homer in the first inning and a three-run homer in the second to lead Struthers.
The Wildcats (9-15, 3-9) did all of their scoring in the first two innings. Jimmy Farris drove in three runs with two hits, while Tom Peluso also had two hits for the winners.
Salem (13-10, 3-9) got a three-run inside-the-park home run by Josh Dankovich.
South Range 13,Lowellville 3
LOWELLVILLE -- Ben Detwiler's two hits included a double and drove in three runs for the Raiders.
Eugene Leson and Isaac Melnick had two hits.
For the Rockets, John Opincarne doubled and David Carnahan had a two-run single.
West Branch 2, Northwest 1
BELOIT -- Matt Catania pitched a two-hitter for West Branch (13-7) in a Northeastern Buckeye Conference game.
Jim King and Josh Winans each had two hits including a double, while Marc Possage also doubled for the winners.
Lordstown 15, Bloomfield 13
NORTH BLOOMFIELD -- Brandon Wickline's four hits included a double for Lordstown (2-9) in the eight-inning game.
Max Gibson had three hits and three RBIs for the Red Devils. Zack Sutliff, Nathan Rech and Keith Simpson all doubled.
