Urban design expert to speak at Butler

YOUNGSTOWN -- Jonathan Barnett, an architect, planner, educator and author of numerous books and articles on the theory and practice of city design, will speak at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Butler Institute of American Art.
The speech is part of the Youngstown State University Getty Campus Heritage Series, "Wednesdays at the Butler."
Barnett has been a planning adviser to cities including Cleveland, Kansas City, Miami, Omaha and Pittsburgh. He is also a professor of city and regional planning and director of the Urban Design Program at the University of Pennsylvania, and has been the William Henry Bishop visiting professor at Yale University.
The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
