XAUSTINTOWN -- Donald and Helen Ferko, 580 Notre Dame Ave., celebrated 50 years of marriage April 30 with a dinner party at Scacchetti's Italian Restaurant in Youngstown.
The former Helen DeFuria and Mr. Ferko were married April 16, 1955, at St. Brendan Church in Youngstown.
The event was hosted by the couple's children and their spouses, Don and Vicki Ferko, Darryl and Janet Ferko and Dawna and Kevin Mellott, all of Canfield; Darlene and Dan Wiery of Austintown; and Dina and Bruce Giambattista of Boardman. Fourteen grandchildren complete the family.
Mrs. Ferko is a retired self-employed cosmetologist. Mr. Ferko retired from Youngstown Tile and Terrazzo in Canfield. He is an Air Force veteran.
Both are members of St. Joseph Church.
