Birth date: March 26, 1901, in Vandergrift, Pa., the eldest child of Lena and Laurence Anderson. She moved to Struthers at the age of 12, living in the same house until she was 98.
Family: A brother, Clyde Anderson, and a sister, Zala Anderson Davis, are deceased.
Employment: After high school she was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Struthers, where she worked for 40 years as assistant to several different post masters. She retired in 1958.
Church affiliation: She is the oldest member of Struthers Presbyterian Church, having joined in October 1918.
Known as Aunt Ethel to many, she has enjoyed baking and shopping.
