XYOUNGSTOWN -- The engagement of Melissa Greenawalt, 841 E. Lucius Ave., and Tim Chizmar, 3685 Ayrshire Ave., is being announced by the bride-elect's mother, Georgia Greenawalt, of the East Lucius Avenue address.
Miss Greenawalt is also the daughter of Don Greenawalt of Boardman. Parents of the prospective groom are Pete Chizmar, also of 3685 Ayrshire Ave., and Cherie Galler, 8910 Randolph St., Crown Point, Ind.
The couple are planning an open-church ceremony at 2 p.m. May 21 at St. Matthias Church. Invitations will be sent for a reception that evening at the Italian-American Veterans Centre.
Miss Greenawalt, assistant administrator at Lads N' Lasses Academy in Boardman, is pursuing a bachelor's degree in family and consumer studies at Youngstown State University, where she earned an associate in prekindergarten.
Mr. Chizmar is a steelworker at American Standard in Salem.
