VOICES OF THE HOLOCAUST
When: 1-3 p.m. April 16; 6:30-8:30 p.m. April 17.
Where: Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts, 124 Leasure Ave., New Castle., Pa.
What: Ensemble of six to eight men and women from early 20s to mid- to late 40s and one actor (male or female) to play someone in his/her 60s or 70s.
Details: Readings will be from the script much of which comes from survivor accounts recorded in 1946. Production will be in conjunction with Hoyt's "Schindler" exhibit May 26 to June 7. Show dates are June 1-3 and 5 at New Castle Playhouse.

TAPESTRIES OF OHIO
When: 3 p.m. April 10.
Where: First Presbyterian Church, Warren.
What: A madrigal-style singing group that presents Boar's Head Dinners, needs soprano, tenor and bass voices.

CLEVELAND YOUTH ORCHESTRA
When: May 11-31; late afternoon, evening and weekend times available. Where: Severance Hall.
Details: For the 2005-06 season. Middle and high school student instrumentalists studying privately are invited. Applications must be received by April 22. Fee is $20.

THE SOUND OF MUSIC
Where: Carousel Dinner Theatre's rehearsal studio sixth floor, downtown Akron.
When: Saturday, 2 p.m. open call; 5 p.m. children call. The roles of Maria and Von Trapp are cast.
Details: Rehearsals will start in Ohio on July 4, and the play will open July 13 and close Sept. 10. Prepare a brief song selection from or in the style of the show. Director/choreographer is Mitzi Hamilton; executive producer is Joseph E. Palmer; artistic director is Sean Cercone.
QUIZNO'S BABY CAMPAIGN -- COMMERCIAL
When: next week.
Where: New York City.Details: Open call for babies 4 to 18 months old, all ethnic groups, for a crawl-on part for "Quizno's Baby Bob, paying as much as $30,000.

SMOKEY JOE'S CAFE
Where: Youngstown Playhouse.When: 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.
Details: Mixed racial and multi-ethnic cast; all roles available. Solo turns and ensemble numbers for nine or more singers. Show celebrates the greatest hits of the '50s and '60s made popular by Elvis, The Coasters, The Drifters, Ben E. King, Peggy Lee and others. Musical scores can be checked out at the Playhouse office daily from 9 a.m. Director is David Jendre.
