Valley's volunteers to be feted



YOUNGSTOWN --The Volunteer Services Agency Inc. and the Youngstown/Mahoning Valley Volunteer Administrators Organization will host their second annual All Community Volunteer Recognition program April 18 to recognize Valley volunteers and celebrate National Volunteer Week.
This year's celebration, "Inspire by Example," will kick off National Volunteer Week in the Mahoning Valley. Keynoter Jay Williams, director of Youngstown's Community Development Agency, will speak on "The Merits of a Collective Community Vision and the Value of Volunteers."
Agencies, programs and organizations are asked to nominate a volunteer or group of volunteers who have made a significant impact on local organizations and the community. Submissions describing why nominees "Inspire by Example" are limited to 1,000 words and will be included in this year's program.
Nomination forms are available at Volunteer Services Agency Inc. and must be returned to it by Monday. To nominate electronically, call Volunteer Services Agency for guidelines.
