New director named to drug agency

YOUNGSTOWN -- Atty. Thomas M. Vasvari is the new executive director of Addiction Programs of Mahoning County Inc.
Vasvari was recently named to the post by the agency's board. The organization provides chemical dependency services to area residents.
Vasvari, who lives in Poland with his wife, Chris, and their two children, received a bachelor of arts degree from Youngstown State University, where he graduated summa cum laude, and a law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he graduated with honors.
He is a former acting judge in Struthers Municipal Court and former president of the Mahoning Trumbull Counties Academy of Trial Lawyers.
Vasvari also served on the board of Help Hotline Crisis Center Inc., where he was board president for two terms.
Among the agency's programs are Donofrio Men's Center, established in 1967, Donofrio Women's Center, William Bodnar Transitional Home, Alma Field Three Quarter Way for Women and Drivers Education Alternative Program.
