Rockettes to debutin Pennsylvania
PITTSBURGH -- The world-famous Radio City Rockettes' beloved holiday production "The Radio City Christmas Spectacular" debuts in Pennsylvania this year at the Benedum Center for the Performing Arts.
As part of the PNC Broadway in Pittsburgh Series, The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, Pittsburgh Symphony and Clear Channel Entertainment will present 51 performances of the show from Nov. 10 through Dec. 4.

Kenny G at Allen in May

'Paul,' the musical, airstonight on Time Warner
AKRON -- Charles Myricks Jr. brings his musical production of "Paul" to Time Warner Cable at 7:30 tonight through Wednesday and at 1 and 7:30 p.m. Easter Sunday on channel 23. With a blend of Gospel and R & amp;B music, the show illustrates the life of the Apostle Paul, taking biblical stories from the Book of Acts. Anthony Mills, a 32-year-old Akron native, plays Paul, who Myricks calls "one of the people who helped hammer out our [Christian] theology ... and he did it in response to everyday life. He did it dealing with people in major cities who are dealing with all the things you deal with anytime you get more than 10 people in the same room." The production features six lead singers, 20 supporting roles and includes a band and will be available on Time Warner's On Demand channel 1111, free to digital cable customers beginning mid-April.
New bilingual, culturalprograms at Hoyt
NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts will have open houses from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday and April 7 to explain its new bilingual and cultural outreach programs. They include a tour of changing art exhibitions presented in Spanish or Italian, followed by a fun classroom language activity based on the tour; and presentations on artists from various cultures for language, history, English, social studies and cultural studies classes, offered in Spanish, Italian or English. Teachers can obtain an accompanying curriculum on request. The 45-minute programs will be offered from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Soprano to perform
GREENVILLE, Pa. -- Mezzo-soprano Xiu-ru Liu will perform in concert at 3:30 p.m. April 3 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, corner of Penn Avenue and Clinton Street. Liu was encouraged to come to the United States to further her studies by renowned soprano Beverly Sills, who was visiting China to give a master class. Liu went on to principal roles in Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria, Netherlands and England, as well as with the Washington D.C. Opera, Opera Delaware, Piedmont Opera and Natchez Opera Festival. Her concert will include Mahler's "Kinder-Totenlieder," Cilea's "Acerba volutta," Tianhe Chen's "Four Chinese Art Songs" and Verdi's "Labborrita rivale ... Gia I sacerdoti adunansi."
