XST. LOUIS -- A party on March 26 at Gospel Assembly Church will honor the Rev. and Mrs. Thomas J. Filban III, 5439 Tesson Rise Drive, formerly of Youngstown, as they celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
The party is being hosted by the couple's children, Tom Filban of Houston, Erik Filban of Seattle, Keith Filban of Houston and Ann Robinson of Westfield, Ill. There are also eight grandchildren in their family.
The Rev. Filban and the former Joan Johnston were married March 17, 1955, at First Covenant Church in Youngstown. An Air Force veteran of the Korean War, he is the minister with Gospel Assembly Church, where they are members. She is a homemaker.
