CRIME Two arrested in burglaries; state police seek another suspect

NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- State police arrested a 21-year-old woman and a 15-year-old boy they believe were involved in a string of robberies and burglaries.
Clarrissa Marie Gordon of 813 Etna St. was arrested Friday on a charge of burglary. The name of the juvenile also charged with burglary was not released. Another suspect, Scott James Lauderbaugh, 21, of 101 1/2 Terrace Ave., New Castle, is being sought, police said.
The arrests came after a robbery at a Last Minit Mart in Wilmington Township and a burglary at a Last Minit Mart in Hickory Township on Friday.
A man brandishing a knife entered the store in Wilmington Township about 3 a.m. and demanded the cash register money from two female employees. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash in a hatchback car with a loud exhaust and possible damage to its left front fender.
The burglary that netted an undisclosed amount of cash was discovered at the second store, and the woman and boy were arrested in that case based on information detectives had developed in connection with similar incidents over recent weeks, police said in a statement.
Police described Lauderbaugh as 5 feet 10 inches, 160 pounds, with hazel eyes and short brown hair. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call state police, (724) 598-2211.
