Arts academy meeting set for parents

LORDSTOWN -- Officials from Trumbull County Educational Service Center will meet with parents of prospective Arts Academy students at 7 p.m. Thursday at Lordstown Middle School.
Trumbull Arts Academy is an educational program dedicated to teaching artistic pupils using the performing arts as a primary teaching tool. Pupils in grades five and six attend the academy instead of their home schools and use the arts to learn mathematics, science, English and history.
To apply, pupils must currently be in the fourth or fifth grade and be enrolled in one of the following school districts: Bloomfield-Mespo, Bristol, Champion, Howland, Hubbard, Joseph Badger, LaBrae, Liberty, Lordstown, Maplewood, Mathews, McDonald, Newton Falls, Niles and Southington .
