Public forum set on U.S. 224 study
BOARDMAN --The Ohio Department of Transportation and the Eastgate Regional Council of Governments will conduct an open house to discuss improvements along U.S. Route 224 in Canfield and Boardman townships.
The meeting will be 6 to 8 p.m. March 22, in the Glenwood Middle School cafeteria, 7635 Glenwood Ave.
The state will do a study of the U.S. 224 corridor from state Route 11 to Interstate 680 and will do a strategic plan for the funding and design of improvements along the route. The first portion of the corridor study will take about 14 months.
The corridor study will be discussed with the public at the March 22 meeting. Comments regarding any perceived problems can be submitted.
The meeting will be conducted in an open house format. Aerial photographs showing the corridor study area will be displayed for review and discussion. Representatives from ODOT, Eastgate and the project consultant firm, will be available to discuss the study and answer questions. Comments may be submitted during the public meeting or by mailing them to:
