XAnnouncement is being made of the engagement of Sgt. Debbi Heffinger, 1645 E. South Range Road, North Lima, and Sgt. 1st Class Jimmie Sanders Jr., 103 Woodhill Trail, Augusta, Ga.
Invitations will be issued for a July 30 ceremony at Zion Lutheran Church of New Middletown and an evening reception at The Embassy in Struthers.
The future bride, a daughter of Bryan Heffinger of New Middletown and Kathy Heffinger of North Lima, is serving with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard in Kuwait, after serving a year in Iraq. She is a teacher for Midland (Pa.) Borough School District after earning a degree in elementary and special education at Youngstown State University. Her fiance, a son of Carolyn Sanders, 109 Griffin St., Enterprise, Ala., and the late Jimmie Sanders, is stationed with the U.S. Army at Fort Gordon, Ga., and is studying history at American Military University in Augusta, Ga.
