McKinley rolls past Hudson

The Bulldogs are headed to the state tournament in Division I.

AKRON -- Raymar Morgan scored 12 points and Sedelle Broyles added 11 and Canton McKinley beat Hudson 64-48 in a Division I regional championship Saturday night.
McKinley (25-1) outscored Hudson (21-5) 19-5 in the third quarter to take control of the game. McKinley made 48 percent of its shots to 32 percent for Hudson, who were led by Brian Guerin with 23 points.
It will be the 27th time the Bulldogs have advanced to the state tournament, but the only time they have won was in 1984.
Cin. St. Xavier 41, Centerville 39
DAYTON -- Rob Schoenhoft tipped in a missed shot at the buzzer to lift Cincinnati St. Xavier.
Schoenhoft and John Wolf finished with 10 points apiece for St. Xavier 21-5).
Scott Grote led Centerville (24-3) with 15 points.
Division III
ATHENS -- Dennis Gagai and Brigham Waginger combined to score nine of Ironton's 10 points in overtime to lead the Tigers over Bloom-Carroll 65-59 in a Division III regional championship on Saturday.
Gagai finished with 20 points and Waginger had 21 for the Tigers (26-0). Gagai also pulled down five rebounds and Waginger had with five assists.
Kale Richardson scored 28 points and had eight rebounds for the Bulldogs (17-7), who rallied from an 11-point deficit with 4:16 to go to send the game to overtime. Joe Goodyear made seven 3-pointers and scored 23 points for Bloom-Carroll.
Cin. N. College Hill 75, Middletown Fenwick 53
DAYTON -- O.J. Mayo scored 26 points and had 10 rebounds to lead North College Hill.
Mayo also had six blocked shots and three steals for North College Hill (25-1), which outscored Fenwick (21-5) 22-3 in the second quarter to take a 38-15 halftime lead.
Bill Walker scored 17 points and had nine rebounds for North College Hill and Darion Goins added 16 points.
Marty Bidwell led Fenwick with 15 points and Mike McWenney added 14.
