CANTON -- Jon Liggins scored 34 points and his brother Sam added 21 to lead Cleveland Heights Lutheran East to a 79-75 victory over Zanesville Rosecrans in a Division IV regional championship Friday.
Sam Liggins hit a jumper to give the Falcons (20-5) the lead for good at 61-60 with 5:21 left. Lutheran East's Brandon Butler scored all 12 of his points in the fourth quarter.
Scott Moyer scored 27 points for the Bishops (23-3), who led 54-51 after three quarters.
Lutheran East will meet Minster in the state semifinals on Thursday in Columbus.
Minster 59, Lockland 47
DAYTON --Dane Sommer scored 18 points and passed for nine assists to help Minster.
Justin Spillers also posted 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Wildcats (20-4).
Dajuan Harris scored 15 points for Lockland, which led 26-22 at halftime. Tommy Cox had 11 points while Antoine Wilhite finished with 11 rebounds for the Panthers (23-3).
Minster outscored Lockland 11-4 in the third quarter to take a 33-30 lead and pulled away in the fourth quarter.
Cols. Africentric 70, S. Webster 56
COLUMBUS -- Donald Suel scored 29 points and Columbus Africentric took over in the third quarter to defeat South Webster.
The two teams were tied at 28 when the Nubians (25-1) ripped off 13 straight points in the third quarter. Africentric increased the lead to 20 with a 15-2 run in the fourth.
Laquawn Perry scored 12 points and Lance Sullivan added 10 points and eight assists for the Nubians.
Nick Aldridge scored 10 of his 17 points in the first quarter for South Webster (23-2).
Africentric will play Continental in the state semifinals on Thursday in Columbus.
Continental 64, Tiffin Calvert 58
BOWLING GREEN -- Kurtis Brown scored 11 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter to lead Continental.
Nathan Schmidt added 14 points and Ben Miller finished with nine points and 12 rebounds for the Pirates (22-3), who shot 51 percent from the field.
Aaron Mass led the Senecas (20-5) with 18 points and Ryan Kommick pitched in 16.
Continental led 45-30 after three quarters but Kommick made three 3-pointers and Brad Walliser hit another 3 to cut the lead to 51-45.
Mass added another basket to get Tiffin Calvert within four with 3:58 left, but Brown hit 5 of 6 free throws down the stretch to help the Pirates hold on.
