PHYSICS OLYMPICS Winners



The 27th Annual Youngstown State University Physics Olympics attracted 250 students from 21 area high schools Saturday. Twelve events were judged ranging from an egg-drop contest to a ping-pong ball launch. The event is sponsored by the Department of Physics & amp; Astronomy at Youngstown State University and coordinated by Roy McCullough. The winning schools and the student winners are:

First: David Anderson High School, Lisbon, 105.5 points.
Second, tie: Farrell Area High School and Edison High School, Richmond, Oh., 99 each.
Fourth: West Branch High School, 93.
Fifth: Ursuline High School, 89.
