Madonna lends paintingsto museum in London
LONDON -- Madonna knows how to share -- the Material Girl lent two of her Frida Kahlo original paintings Thursday to an exhibit on the Mexican painter in London, reports the Spanish newswire Esmas.com. The exhibit runs from June to October at the Tate Modern Museum in London and is the largest exhibit on Kahlo, featuring about 90 pieces of her work as well as some of the artist's personal items. Madonna owns about 15 of Kahlo's pieces. Kahlo died at 47 in Mexico in 1954 and was married to painter Diego Rivera, though she also had an affair with Russian writer Leon Trotsky.
For Peete, pre-Oscar bashends in birth of a baby
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. -- Actress Holly Robinson Peete, pregnant with her fourth child, was partying at a pre-Oscar bash when she went into labor. "One minute she's grooving, the next minute her water breaks," said Michael Lewittes, a producer for "Access Hollywood" who was covering Thursday's party. Her husband, Carolina Panthers quarterback Rodney Peete, was not at the party. The 40-year-old actress gave birth to a boy late last week and was doing "great," said her publicist, Patti Webster. The couple had not named the child, but were looking for a name starting with "R," she said. Their other children are 7-year-old fraternal twins Rodney Jr. and Ryan (a girl), and 2-year-old Robinson. Robinson Peete starred in the sitcoms "Like Family," "Hangin' With Mr. Cooper" and "For Your Love," and played an undercover police officer in the TV series "21 Jump Street."

Zeta-Jones stalking casebrings a no-contest plea
LOS ANGELES -- A woman pleaded no contest last week to stalking and threatening actress Catherine Zeta-Jones. Dawnette Knight, 33, entered the plea to one felony count of stalking and three felony counts of making criminal threats. She could face up to five years in prison. Knight was accused of sending threatening and violent letters to acquaintances of the actress, including her agent and her husband, actor Michael Douglas. One letter said: "We are going to slice her up like meat on a bone and feed her to the dogs." Knight, who was arrested June 3 at her Beverly Hills home, allegedly apologized in another letter, claiming she had been in love with Douglas. Knight also was accused of making four threatening telephone calls to the actress. Knight's attorney, Richard P. Herman, could not immediately be reached to comment. He has the flu and left for home immediately after court, his office said. Zeta-Jones' publicist, Cece Yorke, also had no immediate comment. At Knight's preliminary hearing last year, Zeta-Jones testified that her security was increased dramatically after she learned of the letters.
