SHILOH CHRISTYSEAN MCFARLAND
XYOUNGSTOWN -- Shiloh Dawn Christy and Capt. Sean Patrick McFarland, both of 4176 Fairway Drive, Canfield, were married at 2:30 p.m. May 20 at St. Columba Cathedral.
Monsignor Lawrence Fye presided for the daughter of Debbie Fultz, 14261 Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road, Petersburg, and Ron Christy, 7011 Berry Blossom Drive, Canfield, and the son of Edwina Hardenburgh, 1480 Fredrickburg Drive, Boardman, and Ed McFarland, 5721 West Blvd., Boardman.
After a reception at The Georgetown in Boardman, the couple left for St. Lucia.
The bride wore a strapless, A-line gown of diamond white chiffon trimmed with light-blue beading on the bodice.
Navy-blue gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Corrie Leicht, and the bridesmaids, Colleen McFarland, sister of the groom, and Carrie DeSarro. Elise Hammon was the flower girl.
Best man was Charles Blue, and groomsmen were Luke Christy, brother of the bride, and Ronnie Acierno, nephew of the groom. Ring bearer was Sammy Kassem, also his nephew.
The bride earned her bachelor's degree in nursing at Kent State University and is pursuing a master's in nursing. She is a registered nurse at St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center in Columbiana.
The groom is a graduate of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Fla., with a bachelor's in aeronautical engineering. He is the owner of four convenient stores in Girard, Niles and Mineral Ridge and is a captain in the Army Reserves.
