Poland Funny Farm 15, Austintown Optimists 2 -- Brett Vardavas hit a home run and single to spark the winners. Nick Argeras, Zack Custer, Ron Sobinovsky and Kevin Day added two hits apiece. Ryan Miokovic was the winning pitcher with eight strikeouts. Donovan Smith led the Optimists with two hits.
TRI-T COLT (15-17)
Lakeview Echo Builders 8, Struthers Davidson Becker 6 -- Matt Metzger led Lakeview with two hits and two RBIs. Ryan Nesbett and Josh Lawrence each had two hits. Brian Palmer paced Struthers with a double and single. Jerry Beeson, Mike Vitucci and Jim Matricardi added a double apiece.
BABE RUTH (14-15s)
Astro Falcons 9, Rondinelli 2 -- Jared Turocy pitched a three-hitter to pick up the win. Mike Kelly and Paul Cene each had two hits. Vince Pensa hit a double for Rondinelli.Rizer Group Insurance 7, Sluggers 3 -- Mike Frasso, Jay Masterson and Kyle Callahan paced Rizer with two hits apiece. Ben Bechtol had two hits for Sluggers.Mahoning Valley Panthers 3, Salem AC 2 -- Brad Bates allowed only five hits in a complete game effort to lead Mahoning Valley. Bates, Jared Meeder and Jeff Ashcroft each had a RBI. David Wright and Zack O'Brien had RBIs for Salem.Joe Koch Realty 10, Wharmby Sports 7 -- Joe Koch Realty scored seven runs in the sixth inning. Nick Crum and Chaz Sanflipio each hit two singles. Chad Kobylanski picked up the win in relief and Kevin McCulloh earned the save.
