CLASS B Astros topple R & amp;J Trucking, 8-1

Wharmby cruised past Roth Brothers, 14-1.
STRUTHERS -- The Class B League division leaders met Tuesday at Cene Park and Astro Falcons came away with a 8-1 victory over R & amp;J Trucking.
Astros (10-3) scored three runs in the first inning and added three in the fourth and two more in the fifth for the win.
The Falcons only had five hits, but took advantage of nine walks and two hit batsmen. Jared Bartholomew had two hits and three RBIs for the winners.
John Mang pitched six innings with eight strikeouts for his third straight win.
Losing pitcher Joe Rosko worked 31/3 innings and allowed six runs.
Wharmby 14, Roth Brothers 1
Wharmby Sports (8-4) exploded with 14 runs and as many hits to prevail.
Billy Herman and Kyle Milbert had three hits apiece. Andy Chrobak and Tom Popadak each added a pair of singles.
Mike McCoy scattered five hits with five strikeouts to pick up the win.
A. J. Police had a triple and single and Corey Sternihal added two hits for Roth (2-10).
Mink 8, Dave Sugar 7
Mink Financial scored two runs in the top of the seventh and held off a rally in the bottom of the inning to snap a three-game losing streak.
Dave Piersante drove in the go-ahead run with a double in the seventh and later scored on a fielder's choice.
Corey Vukovic came on in relief the bottom of the seventh and got the last two outs to pick up his league-leading third save.
Caullan Owens had two hits for Mink (7-5). Matt Cercone had three singles and Ryan Stanko two for Dave Sugar (5-8).
Koch/Line Drive 5, Yo. Express 1
Steve Gruver pitched a two-hitter with 13 strikeouts for Koch (3-9), while Charlie Olenych added a triple and three singles.
Tad Gasper pitched a complete game with eight strikeouts, allowing three earned runs for Express (3-11).
Rondinelli Tuxedo 5, Livi 1
Rondinelli scored four runs in the first inning and Livi Steel couldn't recover.
Rondinelli and R & amp;J Trucking are tied for first place in the Goldstone division at 9-4.
Cory Collins (2-1) pitched a complete game with seven strikeouts to pick up the win. Tony Brunetti drove in two runs with a single in the first inning.
Tony Pozega hit a double and a single for Livi Steel (7-6). Ryan Keller added a double and Stephen Hermann had a triple.
