Golf outing to be Rotary fund-raiser

Players will have the opportunity to scramble for a variety of prizes.
HUBBARD -- Pine Lakes Golf Course in Hubbard has been chosen as the setting for the 18th annual golf outing to be held Aug. 22 by Struthers Rotary Club as a fund-raiser to support community projects.
The event will be a four-man scramble and will feature a continental breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Golfers will have an opportunity to vie for a variety of monetary prizes, including hole-in-one awards of a $5,000 shopping spree and a $10,000 cash award. There will also be a $5,000 prize for the winner of a putting contest.
Team awards are $400 for first place, $200 for second and $100 for third. Individual awards will include closest to the pin, longest putt, shortest drive and longest drive. There will also be door prizes and a 50-50 raffle.
The cost for the entire competitive event is $80, and the cost for dinner only is $25. A four-man team plus hole sponsor is $425, and hole sponsorships are available for $150.
