XYOUNGSTOWN -- A reception was held June 25 at Stambaugh Auditorium in honor of Matthew Hawkins and his bride, the former Lindsay Moyer, who were united in marriage during a 1 p.m. ceremony at St. Patrick Church.
The Revs. Edward Noga and Charles Hawkins, the groom's uncle, presided at the wedding for the daughter of John and Barb Moyer of Struthers and the son of Darla Hawkins of Hubbard and James and Debbie Hawkins of Boardman.
The couple left on a cruise to the eastern Caribbean.
Since their return, they live at 23 Water St., Poland.
Adorned with beading and lace, the bride's white strapless gown featured a tiered skirt.
The honor attendant, Deanna Lucas, wore a taupe gown, as did the bridesmaids, Kacey Durbin and the bride's cousins, Krista Babyak, Karla Bell and Kari Bell. Flower girl was another cousin of the bride, Chloe Phares.
Christopher Kinser served as best man, and groomsmen were Corey Wasserman; John Slanina; Brian Hawkins, the groom's brother; and John Angelo and Greg Angelo, his cousins.
The bride graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in theater studies and is a business manager with Ballet Western Reserve.
A graduate of YSU with a bachelor's degree in engineering, the groom is a process engineer with Delphi Packard Electric Systems in Warren. He is pursuing a master's in engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y.
