Senior choir's anniversary
CAMPBELL -- Greater Liberty Baptist Church, 66 10th St., will celebrate the 59th anniversary of its senior choir Sunday at 4 p.m. Soloists from local church choirs will participate. For more information, call Barbara Cooper at (330) 782-7937.
Ice cream social planned
YOUNGSTOWN -- The United Methodist Women of Richard Brown United Methodist Church, 1205 Elm St., will have an ice cream social from 5-7 p.m. Aug. 5 on the front lawn of the church. If it rains, the event will be in Fellowship Hall. The cost for the social, which will include sloppy joes, cake, ice cream, chips and beverage, is $3.50.
In addition, regular United Methodist Women meetings will resume Sept. 1 at the church. The program will include information and education received at the School of Missions. Lunch will be "brown bag" and dessert will be served.
Rosary Cenacle set
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Shrine of Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted, 517 S. Belle Vista Ave., and the Queen of the Holy Rosary Prayer Group will hold a Rosary Cenacle at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 3.
Devotions will consist of the Rosary and Divine Mercy chaplet recited during the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. Refreshments will follow in the social hall.
Guest speaker featured
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Mission Department of the Shenango Valley Baptist Association will hold its next program at 7 p.m. Friday at Mount Sinai Baptist, 328 South Forest St. The Rev. George Wilkins is the pastor.
The guest speaker is Sister Willie Mae Square, president of Mount Sinai Ushers, who also serves as a deaconess and the president of Ushers in the Shenango Valley Baptist Association. For more information, call the church at (330) 743-6061.
Observing anniversary
HERMITAGE -- Miracle Valley Church, 2119 Valley View Road, will observe its 25th anniversary Aug. 7-10. Guest speakers will include: The Rev. Guy BonGiovanni on Aug. 7 at 10:30 a.m. worship services and Dr. Mark T. Barclay at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Aug. 8. The Rev. Woody Woodson will conclude the programs at 7 p.m. Aug. 9 and 10. Team plans prayer rally
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Soul Winning Action Team will hold a prayer rally in front of the former Phar-Mor building downtown from noon to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. 'Friday Night Flow' event

Mega Sports Camp set

Motorfest 2005 benefit
CANFIELD -- Old North Church, 7105 Herbert Road, will host Motorfest 2005, a free, family-oriented event from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the church. The event, which is open to the public, will showcase local hot rods, motorcycles and antique cars. All proceeds raised from the event will benefit the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley. More than 250 vehicles are expected to be on exhibit this year.
The Rescue Mission annually serves more than 10,000 meals, hosts 17,000 overnight stays and provides more than 6,000 people with clothing.
Vehicle registration and admission is free, but donations will be accepted for the Rescue Mission. Call the church at (330) 533-6848 for more information.
