MARIA ALFANODAVID STEVENS
XYOUNGSTOWN -- Maria Lenore Alfano, daughter of Joseph and Eleanor Alfano, all of 761 Forestridge Drive, Boardman, and David James Stevens, 930 Brockwell Drive, Westerville, son of James Stevens of Westerville and Ann Stevens of Columbus, were married June 18 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
Monsignor Michael Cariglio officiated. Afterward the couple received guests at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman, then left on a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico.
The bride is a senior account consultant for Dun and Bradstreet in Independence after earning a bachelor's degree at Miami University and a master's in organizational communications at Kent State University.
Mr. Stevens attended KSU and served with the Air National Guard at Rickenbacker Air Base in Columbus. He works as a laborer-operator for Meander Excavating in Berlin Center.
They are making their home in Boardman.
The bride wore an A-line gown of ivory silk satin trimmed with a gold sash. Her attendants, in black gowns, were her sister, Anne Alfano, as maid of honor, and the bridesmaids, Gina Alfano, Phyllis DeSantis and Carmelann Masczcak, her cousins; Rachel Stevens, the groom's sister; and Julie Conti. Another cousin, Giovanna DeSantis, was flower girl.
Joshua Stevens, the groom's brother, was best man, and groomsmen were Brandon Evans, Tom Robol, Brian Clymer, Phil Alfano Jr., the bride's cousin, and Jason Krogh. Another cousin of the bride, Philip Alfano, was ring bearer.
