What's new
Keeping cool: Water parks are a big draw at amusement parks that are spending millions to add new attractions and renovate old ones.
What's hot: Giant raft slides and speed slides that tower 100 feet. Interactive themed areas for the kids with water cannons and giant buckets that douse the youngsters.
Not all wet: Parks with new water attractions have seen attendance boom. Visitors to Holiday World in southern Indiana have nearly tripled since its water park opened in 1993.
