AMY BURKEYWILLIAM JOHNSTON
XYOUNGSTOWN -- Nuptial vows were exchanged by Amy Burkey and William Johnston during a 4:30 p.m. ceremony June 11 at the Kidston Pavilion in Fellows Riverside Gardens at Mill Creek Park.
The Rev. Dave Conrad presided, and a reception followed at the Davis Education and Visitor Center at the gardens for the daughter of Daniel and Loralyn Burkey, 2874 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, and the son of Richard and Linda Johnston, 42960 State Route 39, Wellsville.
The bride's strapless A-line gown was trimmed with scalloped edging and beading.
Sage-green gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Jennifer Aey, and the bridesmaids, Amanda Burkey and Jennie McCoy, sisters of the bride; Trisha Johnston and Tracy Deets, sisters of the groom; and Melissa Forsythe. Stephanie and Krista Losiewicz and Theresa Detoro were flower girls.
Donnie Snyder, the groom's cousin, served as best man, and groomsmen were Matthew, Ben and Chris Burkey, brothers of the bride; Greg Levendoski, the groom's cousin; and Jason Deets, his brother-in-law. The bride's sons, Brandon and Jordan Fry, were ring bearers.
The couple live at 381 N. Arrowhead Bay Drive, Columbiana.
The bride attended Youngstown State University and is a medical assistant with Forum Health in Youngstown. The groom, a graduate of Kent State University with a degree in business management, is a recovery factory technician with the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Elkton.
