Chrysler art museumdebuts grunge exhibit
In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Charles Peterson found himself at the epicenter of the explosive underground music scene known as grunge, which started in Seattle.
Mr. Peterson captured the music on film.
The Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk, Va., will present "Touch Me I'm Sick: Rock 'n' Roll Photographs by Charles Peterson" from Feb. 4 through May 1. The exhibition will include about 50 photographs of such bands as Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Hole and Soundgarden.
Peterson's photographs have been on hundreds of album covers and appeared in publications worldwide. The exhibition is enhanced with a multimedia presentation that includes music and videos.

Amberley Castleopens treehouse
England's 900-year-old Amberley Castle has a new attraction: a treehouse.
Called Mistletoe Lodge, the treehouse, which is 15 feet above ground, is constructed of oak and has a traditional thatched roof such as those found in historic villages in the countryside of West Sussex.
The hand-crafted structure, which provides shade, shelter and garden views, is outfitted with antique furniture. During summer, guests may reserve the treehouse for private dining.
The castle, transformed into a hotel that's a member of prestigious Relais & amp; Chateaux, offers 19 guest rooms and suites, each with its own whirlpool. And, of course, the castle comes with a moat, dungeons and resident ghost.
Through March, Amberley is offering a midweek room rate of about $195 a night. The castle is 75 minutes from London via direct rail.

Reaching a maximum elevation of 12,700 feet, Chair No. 9 offers 360-degree panoramic views and an expanse of open bowls and steep chutes directly off the eastern side of the Continental Divide.
