YOUNGSTOWN -- Irish Bob's Pub will host The Wild Geese, a "six-piece flock" of Celtic music. The Pittsburgh band includes Daithi Finnegan, vocals, guitar, mandolin, harmonica and percussion; Jason Nash, vocals, bass guitar, guitar, mandolin and percussion; Maura Nicholls, vocals, percussion and guitar; Luci Lynn, fiddle and harp; and ThomasCarraher, vocals, mandolin, guitar, tin whistle, didgeridoo and percussion.
If you get the idea this crew could make a lively noise, you probably have a pretty clear insight. The band, Finnegan says, takes the old-school Irish pub feel and morphs it into an electrifying feel-good concert experience."

Nature photography
YOUNGSTOWN -- Have you been out with your camera, capturing nature's beauty? If so, you may want to enter the Mill Creek MetroParks' nature photography exhibit. Photos will be shown in nine categories: wild animals, wild plants, wild scenes, cultivated plants, people in parks, Mill Creek MetroParks scenes, black and white, digital and young photographers.
Entries must be received by Feb. 20 at the Ford Nature Center. A $2 fee must accompany the entry.
The exhibit will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 3-April 10, except Mondays. For an entry form or additional information, call (330) 740-7107.
Girl Scout benefit

Nothing but sax
YOUNGSTOWN -- French classical saxophonist Jean-Marie Londeix will be featured Feb. 13 at the Dana Saxophone Symposium, along with guest performer William Street from the University of Alberta in Canada, YSU faculty saxophonist James Umble and Umble's chamber music trio.

Valentine dinner
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Youngstown Playhouse has scheduled a Valentine's Day dinner cabaret show, "Love Is In the Airs," for 6:30 p.m. Feb. 11 and 12 in the theater's Moyer Room.
Songs like "My Funny Valentine," "When I Fall In Love" and "The Very Thought of You" will be performed by Matthew Di Battiste, Rita Maricone, Jason Green and Mary Ann Mangini. A buffet dinner precedes the entertainment.
