A summary of recent crime activity in Boardman:
Jan. 19
Domestic violence: A 27-year-old woman was arrested at her home in the 7900 block of Forest Lake Drive on a domestic-violence charge after her husband reported being a victim. He had scratches and redness on his neck and chest.
Arson: An employee at Horizon House, 7690 South Ave., reported a plastic trash can in a restroom had been set on fire. A 35-year-old Boardman man was arrested, though no charges had been filed against him.
Bad checks: A man, 31, was arrested at his residence in the 7400 block of Huntington Drive on a felony charge of passing bad checks.
Theft: A 24-year-old Campbell woman was arrested after a $100 TV and a $200 surround-sound system were stolen from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.
Criminal damaging: A Canfield man discovered tire tracks on a portion of lawn he owns in the 100 block of Marwood Circle. Damage came to about $150.
Identity fraud: A Youngstown man discovered his identity had been fraudulently used at Cellular One, 1393 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Robbery: A Shields Road woman told police someone took her purse containing a Social Security card, a bottle of perfume and other items in a parking lot near her home.
Jan. 20
Assault: A 25-year-old Youngstown man was arrested at the Mahoning County jail on an assault charge after a woman reported being assaulted in a hallway in front of her residence in the 4900 block of Brookwood Road.
Arrests: A woman, 22, and a man, 52, both from Youngstown, were arrested on falsification charges after officers say the two filed a false police report in which they claimed a 1988 Buick LeSabre was stolen from the Southern Park Mall.
Bad check: An employee at Youngstown Buick, 7997 Market St., called police after being issued a $2,000 check written on a closed account.
Criminal damaging: A woman noticed someone broke two windows and a screen at her residence in the 7300 block of Glenwood Avenue. Damage came to $250.
Bad check: A Ventura, Calif., woman reported being a victim after she learned she was unable to cash a $20,367 check at McKinney & amp; Associates Realty Co., 5701 Market St., due to insufficient funds.
Theft: A Boardman woman reported sending $170 via Western Union, 1201 Doral Drive, to a company she later found out didn't exist.
Assault: A woman in the 100 block of Lemans Drive had a lump on the back of her head after reporting another woman had assaulted her at the victim's residence.
Theft: An employee at Dairy Mart, 7103 Lockwood Blvd., told police a customer left without paying for a carton of cigarettes.
Theft: A 54-year-old Youngstown man was arrested after someone took a $25 ink cartridge from Wal-Mart.
Jan. 21
Identity fraud: A couple in the 100 block of Washington Boulevard reported being victims after they discovered $275.65 was removed using their Home Savings and Loan account information.
Vandalism: A man reported $100 in damage to a propane gas line at his trailer in the 4000 block of South Avenue.
Identity fraud: A man in the 100 block of Brookfield Avenue discovered he was a victim after someone used his information to set up a fraudulent $549 cellular phone line.
Criminal damaging: A Berlin Center man discovered $20 in damage had been done to a chimney cap at a home in the 7300 block of Sierra Madre Trail.
Drugs: A man, 19, was arrested at his residence in the 7000 block of West Boulevard after police say they found a suspected marijuana pipe.
Theft: Officers arrested two boys, 14 and 16, after someone took $85 worth of clothing and a red bandana from the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall.
Arrest: A 22-year-old Boardman woman wanted on two outstanding felony warrants surrendered to police and was charged with two counts of deception to obtain a dangerous drug.
Theft: A Youngstown woman, 20, was arrested at the Mahoning County jail on a warrant from Boardman charging her with theft.
Theft: Someone removed a $150 photo printer and a $100 digital camcorder from Target, 417 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: A Boardman man discovered three nailer devices stolen while he was at a residence in the 200 block of Washington Boulevard. His loss was estimated at $1,300.
Theft: A Poland man called police after noticing a $1,200 saw, a cable kit, a 4-inch grinder and a mixing drill stolen while he was at Lowe's, 1100 Doral Drive, or Home Depot, 7001 Southern Blvd.
Arrest: A 19-year-old Austintown man was taken into custody in the 6300 block of South Avenue. He was wanted on a warrant from Austintown charging him with fleeing and eluding and faced one count each of falsification and obstructing official business.
Jan. 22
Assault: A Boardman woman alleged her boyfriend assaulted her at a residence in the 7000 block of West Boulevard. She had bruises on both arms and a torn surgical stitch on her stomach.
Criminal damaging: An employee at Rick Bayus Motors, 5206 Southern Blvd., discovered two broken car windows, resulting in $500 worth of damage.
Criminal damaging: A Lowellville man noticed his truck's driver's-side window and vent shade were broken and that its driver's-side door was damaged while he was at the Southern Park Mall. Damage was estimated at $575.
Theft: Someone stole a $400 mixer from Kaufmann's in the Southern Park Mall.
Criminal damaging: A man reported someone knocked over his mailbox at his home in the 400 block of Shields Road, causing $40 in damage.
Jan. 23
Theft: A Boardman man discovered a $200 cellular phone stolen from him while he was at Jillian's Entertainment in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: A Poland woman noticed her wallet missing while she shopped at Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.
Theft: Someone left Dollar General, 5953 South Ave., without paying for an undetermined amount of clothing.
Theft: A North Lima woman reported her purse containing $120 and a $100 cellular phone stolen while she was at Wal-Mart.
Domestic violence: An Austintown man, 28, was arrested at Forum Health Beeghly Medical Center, 6505 Market St., and charged with domestic violence after a woman alleged he struck her in the ear with his fist while they were at the facility. The woman had red and purple marks on her right ear.
Theft: A 35-year-old East Liverpool man was arrested after being accused of taking a $335 purse from Kaufmann's.
Theft: A woman, 28, and a boy, 17, both from Youngstown, were arrested at Wal-Mart. They were accused of stealing 10 articles of children's clothing valued at $107 from the store.
Jan. 24
Criminal damaging: Police arrested a 23-year-old Youngstown man on Southwoods Drive wanted on a warrant charging him with criminal damaging.
Stolen property: A Youngstown man, 38, was arrested at the Tower Motel, 5235 Market St., after police say he was in possession of a stolen license plate.
Attempted theft: A Boardman man told police he was almost tricked out of $500 while he was at Giant Eagle, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: A Boardman woman reported her purse stolen while she shopped at Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.
Theft: A Youngstown man called police after someone removed $2,200 from his pants pocket while he was at the Southern Park Mall.
Burglary: A 41-year-old Austintown man was arrested in the 5100 block of Southern Boulevard on a burglary charge after an Arlene Avenue woman reported being a victim. She discovered a $300, 14-karat gold chain and a key ring stolen. The suspect also was wanted on warrants charging him with burglary and failure to comply with the orders of a police officer, and faced one count each of obstructing official business and receiving stolen property.
Breaking and entering: A man discovered two snow shovels, a snow blower and a chainsaw stolen after someone entered his garage in the 60 block of Charles Avenue through an open overhead door. His loss came to $513.
Assault/aggravated menacing: A Boardman man told police he was choked and threatened with physical harm while he was at Camelot Lanes, 628 Boardman-Canfield Road. The victim had soreness in his neck area.
