Warren Fire Equipment recognized for sales
WARREN -- Warren Fire Equipment Inc., 6880 Tod Ave., has been named a 2004 ANSUL Diamond Alliance Partner. The Diamond Alliance recognizes ANSUL distributors for outstanding performance in the sale of special-hazards fire protection equipment.
USA-based distributors who attain specific levels of ANSUL product purchases are presented with Single, Double, or Triple Diamond Alliance award plaques as well as special recognition on www.ansul.com.

Local facility approvedto diagnose Alzheimer's
BOARDMAN -- Youngstown Regional Pet Scan LLC, 850 McKay Court, has been designated the only Positron Emission Tomography scan in the area that is Medicare-approved for the diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease.
PET scans, according to Youngstown Regional Pet Scan, is the only definitive test that can distinguish Alzheimer's disease from other forms of dementia.
Youngstown Regional Pet Scan has established the first PET dementia program in the area. It has certified and registered nuclear medicine technologists, a state-of-the-art PET Scanner and has been accredited by the American College of Radiology.
Dr. Richard Black, of the facility, has had extensive experience reviewing PET scans as it relates to Alzheimer's disease. In addition, he has developed clinical education programs for PET practices across the nation and has written about PET scanning for dementia.
The Boardman facility is accepting referrals now for studies on Alzheimer and dementia diseases.

Eaton Corp. earnings gain
CLEVELAND -- Eaton Corp., which makes auto and truck parts and aerospace equipment, reported Monday a 61 percent earnings gain during last year's fourth quarter, due largely to a 26 percent sales improvement after acquisitions and the start of a heavy-duty truck transmission joint venture in China.
Eaton beat an analysts' consensus by 10 cents per share.
Quarterly earnings totaled $183 million, or $1.16 per share, compared with the year-ago results on the fourth quarter of $114 million, or 72 cents per share.
Sales in the quarter totaled $2.63 billion.

Animals to benefitfrom late heiress
BUTLER, Pa. -- Trustees representing a late manufacturing heiress have set up a $1.75 million fund for the Butler County Humane Society.
The fund was set up with money from the estate of Helen Spaide Albig, whose parents owned the Spaide Shirt factory in Butler. When Albig died in 1998 at the age of 86, she had no heirs.
