Warren McKinley Baseball will hold a winter clinic players ages 6-8 at East Middle School on Feb. 14, 16, 21 and 23. Clinic times are 5:30 to 7 p.m. Cost is $25 (family discounts are available). The Mount Union College baseball team will conclude its fifth annual Raider Winter Baseball Camp on Sunday at Peterson Field House on the college campus in Alliance. The camp is for boys ages 13-18 and will run from noon to 4 p.m. Same-day registration begins at 11:30 a.m. in the Timken Physical Education Building lobby. The camp will emphasize pitching and catching. Cost is $40 per person. Players should bring their own gear; limited bats will be available. No cleats are permitted in the field house. Howland Athletic Club will register baseball and softball players ages 5 and older for the 2005 season at H.C. Mines Elementary School. Registration times are from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 17, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Feb. 19, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 23 and 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Feb. 26. Hiram College will conduct a baseball hitting school for four consecutive Saturdays beginning Jan. 29. There are two sessions to choose from: 1 to 2:30 p.m. or 3 to 4:30 p.m. Both sessions are open to all ages. Cost of $80 includes four days of instruction, a camp T-shirt and other prizes. Westminster College will hold a fast-pitch softball skills clinic and a pitching clinic on March 5 for girls ages 8-18.. The skills clinic will be limited to 60 participants in each of two sessions. The first session is from 9 a.m. to noon; the second session is from 1 to 4 p.m. Areas covered in the skills clinic will be hitting, bunting, base running, fielding, throwing and position play. Cost is $25. The pitching clinic will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Cost is $20. Players are asked to register for the clinics by Feb. 25.
