OSU MEN Hoosiers turn back Ohio State

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) -- Bracey Wright saw D.J. White on the bench with ice packs on his thighs Saturday night and knew immediately what he had to do -- take charge.
Wright delivered with one of the most complete performances of his three-year career, scoring 18 of his 23 points in the second half, including 12 straight during a key stretch, as he led Indiana past Ohio State 67-60.
"I knew I would have to create more, look for my offense a lot more than I did in the first half," Wright said. "I had to be the guy to get the offense started."
With White, the Hoosiers' biggest inside presence, out with cramps, Wright eagerly jumped into the fray.
He finished with three 3-pointers, seven rebounds and four assists as the Hoosiers (9-7, 4-1) won their fourth straight and retained a share of second place in the Big Ten.
Momentum shift
Indiana appeared headed toward an easy victory when it pulled to a 31-23 halftime lead.
But that changed quickly in the second half when Terence Dials and the Buckeyes took advantage of White's troubles.
White finished with 15 points, 11 in the first half, when he dominated the middle after feeling sick.
Early in the second half, White finally succumbed to the illness. Twice he pulled himself out of the game because he was cramping from a lack of fluids, and he played just nine of the final 20 minutes.
That gave Dials and the Buckeyes a chance.
Strong second half
Dials finished with 18 points and 13 rebounds, scoring 14 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in the second half alone. Tony Stockman added 14 points for the Buckeyes (12-7, 1-4), who shot just 38.5 percent and committed eight turnovers in the first half -- six on traveling calls.
The Buckeyes have lost four straight.
"We had to slow down," Ohio State coach Thad Matta said. "The travels were a function of us going too fast and, to state the obvious, you can't score when you turn it over."
The Hoosiers sealed the victory by hitting eight straight free throws in the final 1:09.
