Pesticide applicator exams set for Feb. 9



NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- Pennsylvania pesticide applicator's examinations will be given from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 9 at the Deerfield Farms Crop Center.
Core examinations will be administered for both private and public/commercial applicators. Category examinations will also be given for those interested in a public/commercial license, but must be prearranged by contacting the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture at (724) 443-1585.
The core examination is based on information contained in the "Pesticide Education Manual," which costs $26.50. Information on category exams can be obtained by contacting the Department of Agriculture.
Those testing for a public license will be required to pay $50. There is also a $10 fee for each category exam taken. Only checks or money orders will be accepted.
