Austintown Community Baseball will hold sign-ups from noon to 4 p.m. today at Champ Park Clubhouse. First-year players must have birth certificates. Additional information is available at www.acbleague.com.
BB Rooner Baseball and Baseball Systems will conduct a baseball clinic from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Valley Church in Niles. The morning session will feature an all-skills camp for boys ages 8-12. The afternoon session will be a pitching camp for boys ages 13-18. Cost is $20 and includes lunch. Hiram College will conduct a baseball hitting school for four consecutive Saturdays beginning Jan. 22. There are two sessions to choose from: 1 to 2:30 p.m. or 3 to 4:30 p.m. Both sessions are open to all ages. Cost of $80 includes four days of instruction, a camp T-shirt and other prizes. The Varsity Athletic Club in Canal Fulton will hold its 10th annual Spring Fling basketball tournament for boys and girls teams March 1-7. The tournament is for school and community teams in grades 3-6. Entry fee is $99, and each team is guaranteed three games. Deadline to register is Feb. 20.
