Grant scores 29 points to lead Ursuline



Decisive third quarter was the difference for Irish in 47-37 win over Harding.
YOUNGSTOWN -- Ursuline High's Tyra Grant scored 29 points, leading the Fighting Irish to a 47-37 victory over Warren Harding, in a Steel Valley Conference girls basketball game Thursday night.
The Irish (10-3, 5-0 SVC) led 23-21 at halftime, but outscored the Raiders 15-9 in the third quarter.
Desirae Jenkins led Warren Harding (5-8, 1-4) with 18 points.
Mooney 47, JFK 43
WARREN -- Mooney snapped a three-game losing streak by jumping out to a 15-7 lead after one quarter and 27-11 at halftime.
Amber Bodrick finished with 21 points, eight rebounds and five steals for the Cardinals (6-6, 2-3 SVC). Danielle Daltorio added 10 points and Colleen Zajac had 11 rebounds.
For JFK (8-7, 2-3), Alyssa Chaves and Sam Brys each scored 10 points.
GlenOak 46, Fitch 31
AUSTINTOWN -- Krista Mays scored 16 points for Fitch in a Federal League game.
The Falcons (7-7, 2-5 FL) trailed 23-13 at halftime.
Emily Williams and Michaela Maley scored 11 points each for GlenOak (11-4, 5-2).
Struthers 57, Campbell 22
CAMPBELL -- Liz Valerio scored 18 points to lead Struthers to its fourth win.
Valerio made three 3-pointers in the game. Nicole McGuire added 10 points for the Wildcats (4-9), who led 19-0 after the first quarter.
Veronica Lewis led Campbell (2-10) with seven points.
Lowellville 69, Jackson-Milton 37
LOWELLVILLE -- Kaitlin McCarthy recorded a double-double -- 10 points and 10 assists -- to lead Lowellville in an Inter-County League game.
The Rockets (13-0, 7-0 ICL) were led by Amanda Nero, who scored 20 points, and Kristen Pallozzi, who added 18.
Jackson-Milton (5-8) was led by three players with eight points apiece -- Megan Whitmer, Jill Adams and Kay Bruss.
Springfield 55, South Range 36
NORTH LIMA -- Lindsay Johnson and Samantha Cavalier combined for 33 points to lead Springfield.
Johnson finished with 17 points, and Cavalier scored 16, for the Tigers (11-3, 6-1 ICL).
Joanna Dick had six steals and Chelsea Quimby had six assists for Springfield.
South Range (5-10, 2-5) was led by Michelle Pingley, with nine points.

MINERAL RIDGE -- Ashleigh Tondo scored 17 points to lead McDonald (8-6, 4-3 ICL).
Ashshena Stephens added 11 points for the Blue Devils.
Mineral Ridge (2-13, 0-7) was led by Abbey Kiger, who scored 11 points.

LIBERTY -- Ashley White scored 25 points to lead Liberty in a Trumbull Athletic Conference game.
The Leopards (6-8, 2-6 TAC) led 18-11 after the first quarter and 32-18 at halftime.
Maddie D'Orio scored 11 points to lead LaBrae (7-7, 4-4).

CORTLAND -- Chelsea Butler scored 13 points to lead Lakeview.
Lindsay Whetzel added 11 points for the Bulldogs (9-5, 5-3 TAC). Christina Martin finished with 10 points and nine rebounds.
Jen Baker had four assists for Lakeview, and Alynn Martin had four steals.
Callie Oyler scored 18 points to pace Hubbard (3-10, 2-6).

Phillis also had four steals.
Lisbon (10-6, 6-4) was led by Kim Davis, who scored 19 points, and Erica Sims, who added 13.
