The city board of control also handled these matters Thursday:
Approved a severance payment of $2,890 to Peter M. Dohar who retired as an automobile mechanic in the water department in October.
Approved a severance payment of $5,327 to Valerie Henderson who resigned from a police clerk's position in December.
Approved a severance payment of $26,588 to Police Officer Paul Brown who resigned because of disability Jan. 9.
Approved a $12,217 payment to K.T. Lyden Construction, Liberty, for emergency cleaning of Dry Run Creek.
Approved a $14,708 payment to L.E.C. Inc., Girard, for emergency repair of a storm sewer on West Heights Avenue.
Approved a $17,053 contract with Gary Crim Inc. of Youngstown for an emergency electrical plumbing project at a Clarencedale Avenue home.
