LIBERTY
Jan. 11
Theft: An employee at Forum Health, 3551 Belmont Ave., went to the roof to repair a leak and discovered someone had stolen copper condenser units and compressors off eight air-conditioning units. All eight units were also damaged.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a man, 24, at his residence in the 3000 block of Northgate Drive on a domestic-violence charge. The suspect's girlfriend alleged that, during an argument, he struck the right side of her face and pushed her to the ground.
Jan. 12
Misuse of a credit card/aggravated menacing: A man in the 1600 block of Harding Avenue alleged another man, 67, called and threatened to burn down the victim's home and use a pipe to beat him up. The victim also reported his credit card stolen and that it was used to pay a cellular phone bill and for a pizza. The loss came to $325.
Aggravated menacing: An employee at the American Inn, 1600 Motor Inn Drive, reported a man called and threatened to shoot the victim after claiming the motel failed to return a copy of the caller's identification.
Jan. 13
Felonious assault: Witnesses at Master's Bar, 1675 Trumbull Ave., told police a man, 25 to 35, threw a 70-year-old Struthers man against a wall during an altercation. The victim was taken to Forum Health Northside Medical Center, Youngstown, after suffering a large gash to his head. A 45-year-old Girard woman was arrested on a felony charge of obstructing justice after officers say she deliberately withheld information about possible suspects.
Theft: A man noticed a $400, 4-foot-tall statue missing from his front yard in the 4700 block of Fifth Avenue.
Theft: A Youngstown man, 42, was arrested after someone left Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave., without paying for $277 worth of merchandise.
Theft: A Warren woman told police her sister's boyfriend, 38, admitted stealing three checks from the victim at a residence in the 2200 block of East Arms Drive. The checks were written for a total of $1,207; the woman said he deposited them into an account he had set up and failed to reimburse her.
Jan. 14
Breaking and entering: Someone broke into KFC, 3307 Belmont Ave., through a drive-through window, ransacked an office and moved a safe. The perpetrator failed to open the safe, but stole a case of chicken.
Criminal damaging: An employee at Master's Bar discovered someone had tossed a piece of concrete through a window, causing $350 in damage.
Theft: A student at Liberty High School, 1 Leopard Way, reported his vehicle had been broken into and its dashboard damaged. An AM-FM-CD stereo and two 10-inch subwoofers were taken, for a loss of $279.

Forgery/stolen property: After a Mineral Ridge woman reported her wallet lost in Niles, she discovered one of her credit cards was used to make $68.71 worth of purchases at Rite Aid Pharmacy, 2704 Belmont Ave.
Vandalism: A Warren woman noticed someone had kicked in the front door to a vacant residence in the 1700 block of Lucretia Drive.
Burglary: A woman reported someone climbed into her apartment through a second-floor window and removed a 19-inch TV, a bottle of prescription medication and a box of checks. Her loss was estimated at $206.

Breaking and entering: After an employee at Dart Metals Trading Co., 19 Colonial Drive, heard suspicious noises coming from an office, he told police he saw someone fleeing. It was unknown how the perpetrator gained entry; a door jamb sustained $100 in damage and $20 was missing.

Jan. 12
Possible drugs: An employee at Taco Bell, 730 W. Liberty St., called police after finding two syringes and blood on a wall in the men's restroom.

Possible theft: A woman in the 1000 block of East Liberty Street reported a wedding band missing or stolen from her home.
Jan. 17
Domestic violence: Police arrested a Rebecca Avenue man, no age given, and charged him with domestic violence. A neighbor alleged the man was intoxicated and that he threatened and assaulted her son.
Theft: A woman noticed a tire and hubcap were stolen off her vehicle parked near her apartment in the 500 block of West Liberty Street.

Identity theft: A woman in the 10 block of Walnut Street reported being a victim. No other information was contained in the report.
Theft: A woman noticed various items missing from her car parked at her home in the 100 block of West Liberty Street.

Jan. 16
Arrest: Officers arrested a Delaware, Ohio, man on charges of criminal trespass and disorderly conduct after another man reported an intoxicated man punched and damaged a door at Veterans of Foreign Wars Girard Post 419, 200 N. Market St. Police said they found the man in the middle of the street and that he wanted to harm himself.
Jan. 17
Criminal damaging: Police apprehended two Girard boys, no ages given, on criminal-damaging charges after an employee at Lamancusa Tavern, 15 S. Davis St., reported some tires on a nearby vehicle had been slashed.
Jan. 18
Forgery: A Hamilton, Ontario, woman discovered a paycheck of hers had been taken, endorsed and cashed at Charter One Bank, 35 S. State St. The woman said an aunt she was living with cashed it without permission from the victim.
Assault: A Girard boy told police another boy started a fight with him near Dearborn Street and Trumbull Avenue. The victim had several scratches on his face and neck.
Assault: A South Davis Street boy reported another boy walked up to his porch and struck the victim in the head.

Theft: A Warren man noticed his coat containing his car keys and $150 missing from a residence he visited in the 100 block of East Second Street.
