BOYS PREP ROUNDUP Medallis scores 19 points to lead Newton Falls

HUBBARD -- Eric Medallis scored 19 points to lead Newton Falls over Hubbard, 33-28, in a Trumbull Athletic Conference game Tuesday night.
The Tigers (6-5, 3-2 TAC) led 17-9 at halftime, as Medallis scored 13 points. He had three 3-pointers in the contest.
Hubbard (1-9, 0-5) was led by Marc Kanetsky, who scored nine points, including two 3-pointers.
Badger 51, Maplewood 42
CORTLAND -- Norm Yannucci scored 18 points to lead Badger (7-4, 6-1 Northeastern Athletic Conference).
Anthony Mancini scored 12 points and Ryan Myers had 10 for the Braves, who led 18-8 at the end of the first quarter.
Maplewood (6-6, 5-1) was led by Dan Morrison, with 15 points, and Craig Clemson, with 11 points and six rebounds. Jake Abbott added six rebounds, six assists and three steals.
Shenango 86, Summit Academy 76
PITTSBURGH -- Steve McNees recorded a triple-double, finishing with 39 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists, as Shenango improved to 15-2.
Kyle Monceaux added 15 points for the Wildcats, and Shen DeJohn scored 11.
Summit Academy was led by Andrew Berry with 20 points; Anthony Johnson added 19, Dorian Stewart scored 17, and Anthony Rosser had 13.

Liberty defeated Brookfield, 72-68, and Champion defeated Girard, 70-65, in Trumbull Athletic Conference games. Details of both contests were not reported.
