Drug robbery draws 5 years

YOUNGSTOWN -- A Liberty Township man was sentenced to five years in prison for robbing another man of illegal drugs in December 2003.
A county grand jury indicted McClon Lynch, 20, of Fifth Avenue Extension, on charges of robbery with a firearms specification in January, and he pleaded guilty to those charges Wednesday.
Judge Maureen A. Sweeney of Marooning County Common Pleas Court sentenced him to two years on the robbery charge and three years on the firearms specification.
The judge also ruled a three-year sentence Lynch is serving from an unrelated Trumbull County robbery will be served concurrently with the Mahoning charges.
Robert Andrews, an assistant county prosecutor, said the Youngstown man Lynch robbed in Youngstown on Dec. 19, 2003, also is serving time in prison on drug charges.
