Man files suit, saying he was injured in fall

WARREN -- Trumbull County faces a lawsuit from a Cortland-area man who says he was injured when steps at the county health department collapsed under him.
Jerre J. Hentosh Sr. and his wife, Donah, of 1034 Everett Hull Road filed suit Tuesday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court. They name as defendants the county commissioners and county health board.
The case is assigned to Judge Peter Kontos. The couple seeks in excess of $20,000.
Hentosh, a retired contractor, was at the health department building, 176 Chestnut Ave., on March 3, 2004, for business with the environmental health division. The suit states the concrete steps collapsed as he exited the building's front door, causing him to fall and injure his knee, requiring medical care.
The couple maintain the premises was not properly maintained by the county, and was in defective, unsafe condition.
